Damn dude! Really glad you're ok - could have been much worse.

Floating bits of bone hurt! Years ago I broke my right hand and chipped the bone on my left hand little finger knuckle, the chipped knuckle hurt more than the broken hand! .... And I think we lost the game

Holy shit!!!!! So happy you're ok mate. I'm sure the toe is sore and you feel a bit beaten up, but I reckon you should be thanking your lucky stars you had relatively little damage done to your bod, considering the turn and speed!

We can cut the cast off and I can tape your toe up to support it so you can race at Wakefield if you want. I'll even pinch the saw and some fresh tape from my mate's physio clinic to do it. ;) I am actually a qualified sports trainer and worked as a professional trainer for over 10 years so I really do know what I'm doing and can do this if you really want to.

s man wrote:No good mate, what made the front go would be the question I would be asking? T1 has a pretty good record for the few crashers that happen there. In fact I think Ive only seen 1 or 2 crashers on T1 in the last couple of years.
The bit of bone floating will be the drama, I broke mt big toe years ago & it healed no worries. But it didnt have a bit of bone roaming around. Get better soon mate..
Regards Steve.
I think the main reason for few crashes at turn1 is it's daunting nature. Many people don't attack it like other corners. They tend to cruise around and get in a good position for turn 2.

I know exactly what happened.
I snapped the throttle shut and grabbed a bit of front brake as I tipped in, but whilst my thumb being locked around the throttle, I have squeezed the brake and given myself a bit of throttle accidentally.
After speaking to a guy in the pits after he commented on how I could have had my levers a bit lower which could help prevent it happening again.

I wasn't cruising, it did the outlap slowly, then the second lap at some pace (1.38.6) then down we went. Bugger.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Hopefully I wil see a surgeon on Monday. But Wednesday at the latest.

bummer mate, thats a pretty spectacular crash at that speed, glad to hear you came out the other side with relatively little injury
On another note, you should buy a zx6 tracky in the mean time to ease you back into good health :D :kuda:
