you will probably find that the 750L was intended for the American market
Clean air settings etc
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.

ummm no..there is an EXTRA L if its a California pollution model
is in ZX750L2L

the Marketing people use a different system to the manufacturing people
a ZX750F1 (prd #) is a 87 Gpx750r..marketing or selling name
a ZX750F2 is a 88 Gpx
a Zx750F3 is a '89 GPx

prior a ZX750E whatever is the GPZ750....
and
a ZX750H1 is a ZXR750

so a ZX750L1 is a 91 ZX7R
a ZX750L2 is a 93 ZX7R
etc

you should quote the MANUFACTURING model if you want parts or
want repairs done...its what the dealersknow them by

hth

cheers
GOTTA LUV the 12R!!

yeah bit confusing with you think about it
one model...to us, the ZX7r
and all it gets is a different paint job now and then
but
it comes as a ZX750J or ZX750K or ZX750L etc to Kawasaki
as a different model

cheers
GOTTA LUV the 12R!!

He said ZXR. The was a ZXR 750L1 and L2 the later model ZXR's became the ZX7R

In 1988 we had the ZXR 750 H1 had the vacuum cleaner hoses into the tank. Then went ZXR750H2 in 89. 90 and 91 were the J1 and J2.

1993-1995 were the ZXR750L1, L2, L3 (no vacuum cleaner hoses)

Then in 1996 the ZXR750 was renamed to the ZX7R (P1-P7 etc).

Mhm... the race versh of the ZXR750-J was the ZX750K, and of the ZXR750L, the ZX750M.

The ZX-7RR carried the designation ZX750N.

Oh, and Steve, your mate's bike's a ZXR750-J1, the 1991 model. The 1992-model J2 didn't come in blue.

That rustling is my anorak flapping in the breeze.
