Using the GoPro HD or onboard camera's

I have been playing around with the mounting points on the bike with this camera, the good thing is as long as you point it in the general direction it picks up more than you think.

The only 2 issues I have is you cant review the footage on it being too small for a screen and the mounting clips are a bit loose but an old sim card slipped in nicely to take away the shakes.

This camera is awesome for HD video capture considering its size although a bit pricey for a tight budget, good variety of mounting hardware and easy to use, much easier than I tried to make it anyway In fact I am that impressed I am looking at the 3D kit


I am interested in others who have used it and any tips.

Just don't use shitty cheap SD cards from HK....I'm blaming them for me not getting ANY footage from the whole weekends racing (different camera though), and there would've been some absolutely cracking stuff with people falling off right in front of me and some close racing. Useless fucking things just kept erroring, even when they seemed to have footage I couldn't get it off them, then they just corrupted themselves

Lesson learnt aye, I was advised to use (Quality known brand..haha lets not go there..) class 6 cards of 8gb size and if you need more storage put another one in it, larger cards take a long time to explore or something via USB but the 16GB card I have seems ok.

Yes I know the feeling of not having the expected footage, I thought I had the camera on when it was actually off on the CDT and missed the best parts, as you know the footage I did get was shakey partly due to the mount and me not knowing what I was doing, it wasn't that entertaining except for the snaking bikes.

Since reading the instructions I now know how to turn it on and when it is actually recording (sounds like a girlfriend I had once)

They do sell a separate screen that you can attach to it so you can see what you're recording.

you should have received the rubber brace that secures between the clip into the base, this also reduces the amount of vibration.

Thats the surf mounting kit?

I have the motorsport version and I dont recall seeing the clip, I will check the box

look for the rubber fitting as pictured.. this limits the vibration and prevents the clip from opening. You could probably purchase one if not in your kit.
