Get a full bike crate from a bike shop strap it in good, box it up and send it normal freight, I had a bike delivered this way from Syd to Adelaide for $400 I think.

No different than how they come into the country.

Here's a list of transport companies Andrew posted in my thread about Frankenstein my 6.

I think I used the bike logistics mob.

http://www.callmtl.com.au/ I used these guys for the 9 - great service, can recommend them

yep probably work out cheaper as jonno says, the tpt company will generally charge you for 2 pallet spaces and can work out cheaper than a bike transporter, sometimes furniture removalist are the go ,ring around and somtimes you will find one thats got room or coming back empty, just depends if your trying to save a buck and have time to fuck around ;)

so if your bike was given an address to be dropped off at, and they make a time that doesnt suit the person that its getting dropped off to, would you be pissed if the deliverer told you they were going to drop it off to a bike shop in blacktown and you know no one there. would you be pissed/fuming?
