Hey Jonno, just caught this thread, really really sorry to hear about your son, gees mate when you were here I didn't think you looked old enough the have a son that age, sounds like you have had some good news and I hope that continues.

Thanks everyone for your interest and well wishes....(teary eye moment)

Yeah we were very young or too young in hindsight and I was his age when he was born, the stork came early for us, what I didnt know it was a planned booking and with a shotgun  anyhoo got 2 sons out of it :kuda:

I sent him a new laptop which will be excellent for dexterity,co-ordination, thought process, and he is so very bored.
I also organised TimmyRocks to send him a CD. Thanks Timmy 8)

This weekend should see him on 3G internet which will broaden his interests but I think he will use it for what the rest of us use it for.
We are trying to get him to remember ALL his passwords with no luck as he wanted to see his facebook after 9 months, it is interesting what he can remember and what he cant, some of it comes back after a while.

He even answers his phone now and even calls me  He never did that prior  His sense of humour and honest humility is amazing, maybe a good knock around the ears was what was needed. ;) (I joke about this all the time with him) He is so fortunate he hasn't been aggressive as that is common amongst head trauma patients recovering and often get medicated which slows recovery.
He is angry at the driver now which is a good thing, we are working on forgiveness and such atm. The guy comes and see's Michael a fair bit and cops it sweet which is admirable, the poor guy is facing a term and will be eaten alive in there :(

On a brighter note:

He is loving the hydrotherapy, looking and sounding better, getting stronger by the day and can see the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak.

SO its all good news for him :D

Great to hear it's still all forward progress Jonno.

iamwithstupid.gif All sounds like lots of positives steps being made. Is there any idea what the driver is going to get?

I dont care to speculate as they are finalising the charges waiting on doctors to give a prognosis, but there is a minimum and it isn't pretty.

Once everything is collected and authorised they'll serve him his charges and summons for court. I guess he will get more of an idea when that happens.

I'm glad to hear your boy is doing better. I have 5 boys and cannot imagine the stress this must be putting on you. Best wishes to you both.
