I hit a wombat........

Post by Steve71 »

Unreal.....I can't believe i hit a wombat on the way to work this morning and i'm still here to tell all.

Seriously i was doing around 85k's following some cars, the wombat was just to the left of the white line and just as i moved over a bit bang i hit him got air born and some how landed and kept going, the bike felt alright so i stopped when i got to a street light and the cars behind me didn't even stop to see if i was ok.

I checked the bike all over and everything looked good so i got back on in amazment that i'm alright........what a start to the day.

Oh my left shin is hurting so i must of hit something on the bike when i went air born.

Your pretty lucky, 1987 I hit a wombat in a XC Fairmont and flipped it (written off), ended up in hospital for the night.

Cops didnt believe me as they couldnt find the wombat and put it down to speeding which I wasn't, so no insurance etc, mind you plenty of dead ones magically appeared there for the next few weeks  ;)
