ZRX11 crash Mar 2011

Hi guys,
I crashed my ZR1100 a couple of weeks ago (some loser turned across in front of me - in the wrong). The bike only had 12K klms on it. The damage was mainly on the left hand front (hit bumper trying to get around back of car), radiator and header on left side, right side engine cover ground down (but not through), fairing also ground down on right side and cracked. Insurer has written off the bike but given me the option of buying it back at auction price. I am wondering if it is the type of bike worth buying back and re-building. I only paid $3500 for it from my father in law and it helped me visit my dad while he was sick in hospital so it has some sentimental value. Just looking for some advice.

I will contact the assessor tomorrow and find out whether they have done anything with it yet.
Can you tell me if spare (external) parts (fairing, engine cover, front shocks) are easy to come buy and expensive?
The car hit the front left fork and then crushed the radiator against the exhaust and frame tube that runs around the front of the engine. Fuel tank looked just off line. Would this mean a full strip and alignment?
