What to do in a blackout?
Totally off topic.. but after any ideas on what to do with my time during a current blackout.
at my disposal:
1 laptop with a spare battery
1 mobile phone with stuff all battery left
No candles or torchs
No lighters or stoves to boil water for a coffee...
and its wet outside so no desire to go outside.......

Drink beer and play Starcraft
Unless your interweb's down as well, then you can just drink beer.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

Electrical roulette!
Stick wires into a socket and put the ends of the wires to your tongue. Pass it on to your friend to do the same and keep doing until the power comes back on!
Was a game we contemplated while drunk many years ago...never took off...

Find a book to read until it gets too dark, the watch DVDs on the laptop until the batt dies. Order Pizza delivery from the laptop for dinner. Ventura our to Maccas for breakfast.

Not quite the same bang for you buck as Wasabi's...
Life's journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting ...Holy shit...What a ride!
