It would be a little frightening what you are experiencing.
I will be sending you a link soon to something that should lift your spirits.

Strika wrote:Good morning all. I'll quickly say a few things while still lucid. The last 4 days have been bizarre. The way the pain travelled up my body joint by joint, tells me this was something on top of what back pain i'm experienceing. Everything has got better each day. Feet and ankles are less sore to touch, hip muscles at the front have reduced amount and frequency of both pain n spasms. My right shoulder has more movementand a little less pain. But overnight my left shoulder caught up and is now in the entry phase of this joint pain so the next 48 hours arn't going to be enjoyable. it even went to my finger joints. Suggests to me that part may be seperate to the back issue??
As for my legs, my right has some strength and movement and will support my weight, but the left leg won't take any weight it just folds. I can walk with crutches, very slowly as my shoulders are still painful. Pills are kicking in, posts from henceforth i accept no responsibility for.
Anyway, it's looking more n more like surgery each day as i am going backwards not forwards.

sorry to hear about the increasing pain,i was one of the blokes who posted about their pain being worse after an operation.Thought i would tell you about a conversation i had with a tradie today. His mate had major back surgery (i think about six months ago) and is back at work feeling good as gold and he's a plumber so lots of bending and digging.
I also get pain in the shoulders and if i sneeze the pain shoots down both my arms to my fingertips and thats from my back, again sorry to hear about the pain.

Re: is there a doctor in the house?
I'm not doing well. The excuciating pain from the previous two nights rrpeating itself again last night. I can't even walk with crutches, as rhe pain in my fingers , hands, wrists, arms and shoulders means i can't support myself. Last night was horrible. I was awake from midight. I took two endone's every two hours and it didn't scratch the surface of the pain. I writhed around in screaming agony and still am now. 2.30pm is the neurosrgeon appt, after that i'm going back to hospital and fucking not leaving until someone fixes it.

Re: is there a doctor in the house?
I'm in hospital. It appears there are 3 issues..
1. Lower spine damaga-yet to have a result
2. Bile duct spasms-no result yet
3. Whole body pain-some type of rhrumatiod arthritis-temperary pain relief found-long term result unknown.
Little mobile reception, si update may be infrequent.
G'night all.

Re: is there a doctor in the house?
Still in the Monash (ward 44 south, bed 57.) With some small progress. The spine and spasm issues are not being touched yet as the joint pain is severe and thus they want to tackle it first. They injected something stuff into me yesterday.....ketterotil or something which sounds like that n 20 mins later I could walk again. Unfortunately, it's shorterm acting (5-6) hours and is only administered VIA injection. So not a permanent solution. Last night they started me on a course of steroids. It's effect is ok..ish. still cannot move my left shoulder, elbow, wrist or left hip without pain, but the other joints are improving.
Guys, I have had some pretty fucked up Shit happen to me over the years, including gallstone pain which they consider one of the worst forms of pain. Gallstone pain is like a sprained ankle by comparison. Several times in the past week I have been in so much pain....I cried. Not just a whimper, but like a little baby. I hope they can sort this Shit out soon.

I can't believe the shit run you've had mate. Keep your chin up though you'll get over it and be back on the rex in no time.
I hope they get to the bottom of it soon for you though. It's unbelieveable how quick you went from normal (well as normal as we could expect yoldcarn
) to where you are now.
You up for phone calls in the horsepiddle, I'll give you a buzz later on.
Cheers

Re: is there a doctor in the house?
Firstly thanks for all the well wishes from everyone. It's been a challenging 5 weeks with the last week being the most difficult.
Glen, or any of you, feel free to call anytime. The only thing is they make you have the phone on silent. I've got mine on vibrate and have it shoved up my arse, so make sure you all try and call as often as possible. Seriously though, call, if I hear it i'll pick up, otherwise flick me an sms n I will call back once I see it.
Not really much change. The steroids are partially helping, taking pain from a tear inducing, moaning, groaning quivering mess to bearable. You may have noticed some posts from me early this morning as I couldn't sleep. So not sure the steroids are the answer.
Had a bone scan today, but being the weekend, results may not happen till Monday.
For anyone wanting to come say hi, it's Monash Medical Centre, Clayton Rd, Clayton. Ward 44south, bed 57. Cougs bought the latest AMCN in last night, so no need for mags.
I had half a bit of joy this morning when Tatyana bought Ozkar for a visit. Bit of a bummer though, literally 30 seconds after I got down the park out front, they called me back for the bone scan. I was so upset as was Ozkar. He whimpered and cried as I left. I near on did too!
Hope everyone else is well and your all getting lots of riding in.
