Hey All,
Thought I'd say hi before inundating everyone with loads of questions which will:
A) be stupid
B) have been answered before no doubt.
Picking up my zzr250 tomorrow 2nd hand (the guy is getting RWC for me today). I gave it a quick test ride last night, starts fine with choke, oil seemed clean, no leaks I could see. Frame seemed sound. Little bit of rust on exhausts but apparently that is normal and he has had to replace them before?
Anything else I should have checked for?
Thanks for any help.
Guy

welcome
zzr250's are pretty bulletproof......just general wear and tear chain, sprockets, brakes, ets. rust on the exhaust can happen, but all the ones where i have seen rust on the muffler/s is near the front of them on the side with a bit of a flatspot. usually means the bike has wanted a snooze and lay down....easy enough to tell though

Picked her up this morning, she passed RWC yesterday no problems. Was my first time riding on the road today, (back to melbourne from gellong on the highway) which was fun and a bit weird for the first few km's!
Sat at 100km, revs at 8,500. Temp gauge never went over 30%. Seems pretty sound to me, but I know nothing about bikes. The guy has already taken the centre stand off it which is good (though he didn't have it anymore which was annoying!)
Now I'm looking at insurance. I'm on L's aquired last week. I'm 25 with no Australian driver licence (though I have had UK licence for 3yrs). Any recommendations at to insurers?
Cheers

Insurance sorted, put it in my girls name (she has had licence for 5years), with me as an additional rider. $38 a month direct debit/
Does the performance sound right though revs wise for speed? I felt good
