Post by mikeg »

Does anyone know where I can get a rear tyre hugger for a 2001 ZX9R? Thanks.

Thanks for the link, description says 98-01, but the picture has a different swingarm to my bike. Mine doesn't have the loop from one side of the swingarm to the other?

The one that you've got the link for is the right hugger. I've got a 98 ZX-9R and ordered the exact same part in Dec last year. I was very suspicious at first, but the right part turned up.

i think what you're looking at is a swing arm brace - not std fitment on many bikes.

Spoke to Powerbronze today and the picture is for illustration only, so as Tigerangel suggests it should be the right part. I placed the order and will post if it fits when it arrives. Friendly and helpful staff so should be ok.
