Reefton Spur suspicious activity

Post by sunshine »

Last 2 weekends have included sunday runs up to the reefton and black spurs , albeit at mainly a sedentary speed after being bombarded with those mobile traffic management devices police are enforcing the speed limit 80 klicks ... ok no drama carry on ...
token speed camera near the Reefton CFA blue Subaru..all is ok
we approach the the beginning of the reefton , a group of six riders signal police activity :kuda: :kuda: .... at about the top , tapes across the road and the plod in a side cutting
we proceed to Marysville another police motorcylce keeping his eyes peeled

well this morning i noticed a rather odd thing ... it may be nothing i dont know
just before the Cambraville junction ... 1 X NON Descript ( no markings) white van 2 people.... ladders drill and other stuff i couldnt identify
were parked on the shoulder of the road ... they looked surprised as i approached they were climbing ladders and
LOOKED TO BE MEASURING BACK TO THE ROAD
is this some sort of techno gagedtry laser video
so it wasnt the monash university traffic mob or department of scorched earth DSE ...
IT WAS SO BIZARE I PULLED UP AND DID A U TURN TO SEE WHAT THEY WERE UP TO ...BUT I COULDNT SEE ANYTHING :x

has anybody any clues on this or is the bloody DSE clowns ...
either way it was suspicious .. i just hope its not another way to trap unsuspecting riders

ps after saturdays weather the roads had lite tree litter , no gravel , lake mountain was worse heavy tree litter
and ONLY SPOTTED 1 X HWP IN MARYSVILLE ...PARKED :kuda: :kuda:

What's DSE?

Were they putting a box on a pole or something? Damn they're crafty down there, camo gear and radars in unmarked cars and bins etc, where's the fun in that :(

funnily enuf dick smith electronics (actually they're just dick smith now) doesn't sell bits n pieces anymore.. found that out when I went to get come capacitors.. there was a cpl ones up here that still had some in stock but not getting any more.. guess there's more $$ to be made from selling a whole thing rather than bits to fix a broken one :)
