I used to have a whimpy 6, now a headbanging 10 sits in the garage.

Bloody posing sportsbike riders, sitting in cafe's in full leathers sipping coffees talking about exhausts. You probably all jump on the anchors at the first corner and I'm probably faster than you on my ZRX/ER-6/Zeddy/GPX250 etc

Im getting a 6 soon but thinking of getting a old 250 to still play around on. get the riding skills up. Might have to take the 6 out to the track as well to get some practice in. unless your just riding along that big straight road that goes to WA I cant see a 10 being much use. besides being a natural laxative.

Ok short version ... had a 6rr and kept crashing at the track ... hmm not fast enough maybe?? get a 10 ... great idea, it was faster in a straight line but it crash tooo ..... can ya get one that wont crash??? Maybe I'm just a shit rider new_shocked.gif .

Had a 12 for the road, got a 14 now much more betterer, I dont think the 6 would cut it on the road, still got the 10 and is ok but the short wheelbase is not so good for a young fella on bumpy sections, the 12 had more mongrel and was such a great bike but the 14 is the ants pants for distance and grunt notworthy.gif .

Not sure how that fits into the poll but thats my two bobs worth, new_all_coholic.gif

Ride within your capabilities they say!

You're logic in wrong. The low side often means your ambition exceeds either your ability or ambition exceeds available grip (normally the former).

Too much throttle on full lean, hard front wheel braking tipping in and too much rider input on the bars mid corner can all result in a low side. They are all rider error in my book. :P

Or poor suspension setup means your ambition exceeds the ground clearance of the bike and you touch down your expansion chambers on the fastest corner on the track.

So is that exceeding the capabilities of the bike, or rider error for not checking the sag on the rear shock in the first place?

Had 6 and a few 10's.

I found the 6 to be too slow over time 10 is just right!
