* Im lead to believe everyone is ok at HG..

* Beaufort (half way between Ararat and Ballarat) the lake has gone over and the western hwy, also the road between Horsham and Ballarat has been closed. I have a girl friend who lives on the edge of Lake Beaufort. Her and her kids are cut off.

* There is minor flooding in Ballarat now too, ive just been asked to go into work because colleagues cant get in to the city..

Stay safe people

I am near the Campaspe upstream of Lake Eppalock...and it's been fooking wet here. I think I am cut-off at the moment, we were pretty close last night and it's rained all night since.

Late Edit> Cut-off in one direction, unless you have a serious 4WD. The other has about 15-30cm of water over it but is passable :?.

Roads are all clear and it was a beautiful day here...plenty of water still about though.

Campaspe River is running extremely quickly with a lot of volume.

You could normally walk across the Campaspe if you didn't mind getting covered in mud, wouldn't like to try it now though...

Just got news from my uncle who lives in Bundamba, got the family out, they are staying with friends, but has lost everything including his vintage Indian     (it was insured, but he rebuilt it himself about 20yrs ago)

Its dead calm and blue skyes here today too Mick.

I will have some local pics tomorrow, there's a group of us headding off for a ride.
There's quite a few towns and areas around here under, will make for an interesting day.

Was in Coles last night and it was packed.. Scrapping and pushing.. People were buying up big on water and dry goods.. I just wanted to get some coke for my jack 8)

I wonder just how many vintage collectable items have been lost/destroyed due to these floods?
is the indian totaled totaled or totaled to the point where it will need a full rebuild again?
