I would guess by glancing down with your eyeballs instead of looking down would be the only way unless you have a HUD on your helmet.

Thanks mick , Even so you are still "looking down" unless you can move one eye at a time , which i cant do LOl

I guess by scanning etc , but i shall steal somones homework to compare in the morning as our teacher said we could , I was never any good at homework anyways

Thanks for your reply Mick!

You can look down with your eyes only without moving your head. I think this must be what they were referring to re. keeping your head up.

Mirrors should also be adjusted so you just have to glance left or right without moving your head a great deal either, although there is a bit of leeway with the way the mirrors are placed on the bike, sometimes you have no choice but to move your head...

When you keep your eyes up you are doing something more important than balancing the bike, you are feeding your brain the info it needs to rode safely and well. 70% of your peripheral vision is below where you are looking! If you look down for anything more than a glance you will end up being surprised by something getting to you too soon and slow with your control of your bike! keep your eyes up, your grip loose and you're well on your way to developing good riding habits.

having jast passed my Ls Test 2 months ago, this all fresh in my mind and a few other tips, you "look down" by moving your eyes, the only time you move your head is to look around the corner, look where you want to go. and to check your mirrors. use FOUR fingers on your clutch and brake. and Breath, as much as that sounds funny you will be suprised.

good luck :kuda:
