In the second fatal crash, a motorcycle and a car collided on Haines Rd, Banksia Park. A family in a Toyota Hilux was backing out of a driveway when the motorcycle crashed into the rear passenger seat at high speed. A young boy has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition while his father is in a serious condition.
this is what worries me on the roads, you can do stupid things like backing out into traffic without looking or driving like a tool and driving dangerously on the roads yet this sort of bad behaviour is not enforced..they are too busy catching people doing 65 in a 60 zone to worry about this shit..

I mean in NSW the penalty (points and financial) for driving like a f-wit then running someone off the road and killing them is less than if I were to get booked for doing 80 in a 60 zone..

its all fuked up :x

RIP to the riders..

Did you all miss that there is a young child in hospital from this crash???

Other factors that can be investigated to discover cause of incidents may skid mark length, distances that an initially stationary vehicle has travelled, points of impact and lots of other things These can be used to calculate the speed a vehicle was travelling. Like the tell tale little speedo that oftens gets jammed on whatever speed it was displaying when a vehicle is involved in a stack. Then there could be independant witness accounts. Where there any other witnesses hoffy?........oh fuck, I forgot, you were not there were you. Were you? :?

I suppose it's easy to assume we know the details of what happened when it's ALL there in print. I'm sure the media have given us every detail.

The point i'm trying to make is there is no use judging what has happened when you are only given the vague information that the media have available or have decided to print.

Condolences to the family of those killed. No matter how stupid the act it's always still going to be a tragic loss to those who were close, or should we judge the collective due to the actions of the singlular? There's a theme thats pretty touchy to all motorcyclists.

Hope the young child also recovers from what has happened. This young person might have grown up and taken a liking to motorbikes and enjoyed all the experiances that we believe make motorcycling worth the effort, but may now never want to look at them again. Our loss. :(

You cant bag them all in the same box. We all have the fukwit factor to a degree and we all make mistakes...While some choose to drive, others ride, everyone is aware there are fukwits out there in all shapes and sizes.

Regardless of all that, it doesn't make it any easier for those grieving loss of life.
It all comes down to how you ride it.....

No none of us were there, thats why you cannot assume anything such as speed etc, exactly my point 8)

However backing into a roadway where there is traffic and coliding with a moving vehicle is dangerous and highly irresponsible.. You can be sure of that.. But thanks for your input anyway 8)

The impact pushed the Hilux several metres sideways.

a hilux weighs what, 2 tonne? family going away, fully loaded, maybe 3 tonnes.

dont think this was just your simple fuckhead not looking out when reversing

rip to the rider. i think ill be keeping a much more attentive eye when exceeding the posted limits in the local streets
