ZRX Tail Tidy and Hugger - link for xmas bling bling

Post by rooster »

Having blinged the front, pictures to come, I have decided that the rear needs some bling as well, I have frustratingly found little or nothing re tail tidies and rear huggers for Rex's, so please if anyone has any links etc please pass them on, I don't want to just eliminate the rear fender as this is what the Competition Workes one seems to do although the pictures aren't that clear, so come on brethren help with the bling search, prices would be helpful to. Yes I will be asking the same question to ZRXOA but being a proud aussie I thought I would try here first.

I think it's Ted that makes a fender eliminator on zrxoa. You have to cut a bit of the plastic guard off to fit it though. Rod had one on his (and I have the kit waiting to be fitted when I get half a day to work on it) and they look pretty good. Can't help you with a hugger and I have no idea why you would want to fit one. :?

I am in 2 minds about the hugger, I think they finish it off but I would want one in carbon or green and the green would have to match so that in itself may be tough

Ted's is purely a fender eliminator I want an eliminator/tail tidy and they are out of stock anyways.

I used a hacksaw to craft mine ;) Rod (now Shaun ;) ) & Matt Chan both have the Ted383 Kit on theirs.

& I'm with Nelso, why you would want a hugger is beyond me - looks good as it is.

How are those other bits I hooked you up with :? Still waiting to see the pics ;)

I agree the ZRX looks fine without a hugger.

However I would put one on, mainly to cut back on the crap spread all over the rear end (shockies & muffler) from the back tyre.

I don't really think they detract from the look, just make it diffrent & cleaner.

I have a hugger on my Z1000, it does not stop crap from geting on the exhaust or swingarm, therefore it would do little to keep crap off my ZRX shocks as well.

Then again, this is the great thing about the ZRX, everyone does there own thing - and they all still look great.

Hope to have mine back tomorrow love4.gif  love4.gif

Rooster,
Save your bucks and just trim your mudgaurd. Also when you do it pull the blinkers off and put the spacer block that goes between the mudgaurd and the main part of the blinker on the inside under the mudgaurd.
i didn't want to wreck the Rex's mudgaurd, but the tail tidys I have looked at with alot of them you loose your toolbox thing and you have to cut your gaurd anyway.
My 2 bob's worth.
