Migrated from Honda. ZX-6R reporting for duty! [Syd]

Post by jbird »

Quick intro I'll try not to bore you guys. Been riding on and off for a couple of years, yet to do a track day but do enjoy the old blat up old pac and national park. Used to own CBR250s and ridden lots of CBR600RRs - very close to owning one before I found my 636.

I've been a lurker for awhile but now I feel like I allowed to join the green family. :D

Picked this up 2 weeks ago or so, you may have seen it for sale here too. I saw it for sale on CBR250.com. Haven't let it leave my sight since, its my first 'proper' bike.

It's been James' (zenodamper) guinea pig. Quick run down of the mods:

Termigoni slip on
PC3 tuned by Sydney dyno
Ohlins front cartridges, revalved etc
Penske rear shock, revalved

From that pic the only thing I've done is put the seat cowl on and put the tinted screen on. Racked up about 1000kms since I've bought it and loving life. Plans for this apart from doing a track day or two will be to put braided lines on and tech-spec tank pads.

Thanks for reading!
James

G'day and welcome to KSRC... :kuda:

Looks like a nice clean example...Well done, nice pick up.
Do the brake lines before you do the track day...

And yes MadKaw does do a great job... :prayer:

Thanks peeps! It's definitely an adrenaline hit, this thing handles amazingly. I don't have a stock 636 to compare to but compared to newer gen 600RR's this thing feels more agile and the bike just feeds so much information to you.

Noobie question: but can someone fill me in on why the 636 is a Barra is (Barracuda? Barramundi?), crim etc.

Here's a pic I took on last Sunday :D
