G'Day KSRC!

Post by Benny83 »

Hi Guys n Gals,

I'm a 27y.o. ZX14 rider from Newcastle and after reading a fair bit of this forum since buying the 14 I thought I may as well sign up!

Here she is:

I've been a Kawasaki fan since my first experience on a KX80 dirt bike (I started riding at 13 on a honda XR100, boring compared to the two stroke). Later I upgraded to a dirt/road KDX250 and rode it to death. After that, I was handed down an ER5, great for L's and P's but couldnt keep up with my brothers ZX9 (no shit Sherlock). After the ER5 I started clocking up serious kms on a Suzuki SV650 but needed something bigger (I'm 6'5") so jumped in and bought my 2008 ZX14SE above. I keep telling myself I went with the 14 because its a bigger bike physically, not just because of its power.. but who am I kidding. Fun as hell.

Anyway, looking forward to meeting some of you at ride days around Newcastle/Maitland/Central Coast!

Benny

hah! yeah I'll keep her anchored in the shed during the wet weather and try not to end up on the beach

Yeah I love it, even if it's a bit polarising with other people. Makes it hard trying to find a seat cowl in this colour scheme though.. pretty rare it seems. Will ask at the Kawasaki shop how much it'd cost to get one but I guess I'll need to bend over and think of England when I do. Not gonna be a cheap exercise!

For sure dude, I keep an eye out for other 14s thinking now that I've bought one I'll see hundreds but havent seen another one yet.
