The rex has yet another lay down.

Post by Strika »

I think I must have broken a mirror or whatever. The Rex fell off the side stand in the carpark while warming up to come home. A bloke I work with caught it and slowed the fall, I managed to get under it to minimise the damage.

End result is a broken clutch lever, but still operable. A broken indicator lense and scuffed crash knob. In addition to that, I fucked my back again doing it. I am in bed dosed on happy pills but still in screaming white hot pain!

Hells bells Marty - you kick a black cat or something?????

Hope your back recovers quick - nothing much worse. Mine is still playing up and the painkillers are not as effective anymore......

Walked under a ladder while kicking a black cat that crossed his path and the cat broke a mirror...on Friday the 13th.

I learned a long time ago
a bike is fixable.... a pharked back never so
(no ..happy pills never fix it)

if my bike wants to lie down it can do so by itself
it does have some crashbungs (not allowed call them ...ggy knobbie things)
to do so softly

more happy pills needed I reckon Marty
get well (bed rest is good)
GOTTA LUV the 12R!!

Unlucky bloke, All the best with your back injury recovery dude.. I know all to well the feeling of having a dodgey back. I crushed the L4/L5 disk, and fractured a vertabrae like 13 years ago and it still haunts me now and again :(

Marty, if you don't mind I will mention a great book on chronic pain that changed my life a few years ago, it is the only book available from the ABC bookshop on pain management written by world experts.

10 years and a Hell of a lot of sumshite and wasted life later I can highly recommend this book although the correct name escapes me.

Mate, not intended for you but as I have found a lot of us suffer in silence and took this opportunity to mention.

Pain is a individual experience and hard to communicate, I hope it comes good. 8)

Nurse Tatyana tended to my every need last night which helped immensely. But, I am still in bed. But, hey it's not all bad. It's a really shitty day, one best spent in bed.

Is the rex in bed with you? You did say it was tired!

Relax and your back may just loosen up ;)

Even though I tried to fuck it on Mt Hotham a few years back, I don't let it in the bedroom.

As for relaxing, I am still in bed. Havn't moved apart from a few toilet stops, since I got home last night.

Hope you get better soon Marty.

I know what it is like as I was laid up for 2 weeks a couple of years ago.

What made it worse though was that I had just bought a new golf bag from the US and when it arrived the wife kindly set it up next the bed so
I could look at it....
