I don't think I have ever seen anyone use a gen 3 or gen 4 iphone without a case.... seems to be the norm to always use one.

Oh yeah my iPhone 4 that I stole from the mrs has better reception than my iPhone 3GS which I gave to her.
Both have run covers from day dot otherwise they get the shit scratched out of them.

I am old school...
buy just a plain old phone to talk to ppl, buy a camera to take pics
use a PC keyboard to send SMS (Telstra Messenger is easy peasy) coz I type with my elbows
get a widescreen screen to view the web...this is all simple
and cheap!
