Riders Choice my arse!

Post by ducati_paul »

Does anyone have Insurance with Swann "The Riders Choice"?
I'm just getting some quotes for my G/F's 2004 CBR600RR, I've put the same details into 3 different websites

Insure my ride = $425.34
Shannons = $538.52
Swann (did I mention they're "The Riders choice"?) =$2,249.21 :shock: or I could do weekend rider plus for $1,799.37 which covers her for "weekends and Annual leave days"
I put the details into Swann twice 'cos I thought I MUST have got it wrong! ..Nope! :?

When I had my 250R they were ok for the first year (Can't remember the exact amount, but reasonable). However, when renewal time rolled around they wanted something ridiculous like $1700. :roll:

I was in the process of getting rid of it to make way for my ZX6, but the price was retarded all the same. Now I own the ZX6 and that $1700 doesn't seem all that bad... It's worth every extra cent though! :P

Full Comp Western QBE...05 ZXR6 $625

They have hidden discounts that you have to dig for,.... club membership for one example 8) ask lots of questions about how you can reduce the premium.
I spent years just renewing with the zeddy without even looking at the details cause it was cheap but the sports bike attracted a substantial increase so that made me sit up & take notice & was amazed how much of a discount was there for the taking :D

One advantage of being over 40 I suppose.

Highest bike rating and being an older karn 750 shannons.
I should have shopped around but it was better than 1250 for same bike 3 years ago so I took it.

I'm down as the youngest rider Hoffy (43) and it's for low use, as I said if she'd gone the option of weekends and annual leave only it still would have been $1800 odd, and she has a 65% no claims bonus!?
