Finished

Post by StuMiller »

I've finally finished attaching my W4U race glass.

Track day at Baskerville, Hobart next weekend so here's hoping everything stays where it is now.

Mental note to self, don't take on another road to trackbike project, buy a trackie already done.

 try one of ours where all the brackets & mounting points have to be fabricated from scratch :P
Your bike looks great, you should be proud of the work you have done on her, Oh & loose the mirror bracket..... cable tie through the two holes will be less obtrusive ;)

I'm going to cut off the double barrel mounting and just leave the support braket so I can use normal screws and washers to hold it on. That way, I lose the mirror brackets.

Thanks for the tips, however you can have your selfinflicted pain of fabricating new brackets and fairings..... ;)

Baskerville are having another trackday on Dec 5 (http://www.motorsportstas.com.au/). This gives you the calendar of events in the map.

I'm in Melb for Christmas, but back early Jan.....

Nice work. Always harder when your by yourself and it is your first project. Now that you have a bike to play with, and lets face it you will 8) everything will become clearer and easier. To take on projects like this wont be daunting at all, infact you may enjoy them.

I went from a total newb when i first started and wouldnt want to touch anything (although I was pretty hands on with cars mechanically). Now with the help of people like Madkaw, Wattie, Firey, Dave3 and many others we found that there isnt much we wont tackle. Biggesh jobs like pulling out clutches can be done between sessions once you get comfortable. ;)

Again well done
