Pipemasters

Post by samhasa636 »

this queston is for anyone, but particular you lot North of the border (since you are locals).

I am having trouble getting an exhaust for my bike (05 636) and am currently exploring every option available... which includes a system from pipemasters.

I have already called them and they are able to make a pipe for my bike, cheaper than the Akra system I was going to get.

Does anyone have any experience with their pipes? General impressions about build quality, power, sound and so on.

Cheers

Re: Muzzy - dont know anything about it
Re: Akra - had one ordered until I found out how loud it was (over 100 db) and I am worried about voiding my insurance if I can't get a baffle made for it. Plus, no one can really say when they will be here.
Re: Pipemasters. They don't have one yet, but they told me they would make one up.

Leo Vince has a pipe out. It is stupid, stupid loud. But the outlet is a normal round hole and I can see that it should be easy enough to put a baffle in.

The Akra is still my preference as long as a baffle can be made for it.

Why not try Staintune- their pipes are light, beautifully made and will out last the bike, AND they can go from quiet to louder by removing a restrictor. They have ADR approval which might be important if you live in NSW at the moment. I have the Staintunes on my 1200 and they are awesome. :)
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R :) Yeah I like Kawasakis.

Staintune do a can for the ZX6, their cans are designed to simple replace the standard can with little or no modification, they come standard with the bung to keep them quiet (removable) and should pass any state laws. The have a good dealer network and are Australian made. I've got one of their cans and I love it.

I don't want a stainless pipe. I want a whole system too, not just a slip-on.

get an titanium akra! I had one to suit a 750 altered to suit my zx6r at motorcycle exaust pros its just off moss st slacks creek opposite autobarn.they work wanders down there and he can make a baffle to suit the end that can be removed with one grub screw. think they make there own brand aswell.
