Looks like all they were testing was to see if the damn thing went off. The airbag itself didn't have to protect anything and i don't think it actually came into contact with even the tank. I dont think that was exactly a big hit either. How does it sense the impact?

I reckon the day people start wearing these airbags they will be falsely deploying all the time whenever someone hits a half decent bump (or lands a bit roughly from a wheelstand, if your that way inclined).
I know the car airbags work on minor explosive and i'm not too sure how comfortable I'd be riding around with something like that actually strapped to my body

I think they work, GEORGE and Rossi wear dainese airbag suits, pretty sure I heard the commentator say last round the Jorge had a crash in practice where his airbag went off saving his shoulder.

Girls have had airbags implanted for years, they've never falsely deployed when I've been riding one
