Help! - Older 6 & 9 owners

Post by matchan »

I believe many of the 9's and 00-02 6's have 4 pot front brake calipers, as I'm looking at replacing the 6 pot tokicos on fluffy, just curious if they'd fit, is anyone with one of these able to measure the caliper bolt spacing (centre to centre) and post up?

I think the 99-03 gsxr 600s ahve them as well, but I'm sure no one would have one of those :P

Cheers

The F model 9 had the 4 pot nissin's, as opposed to the 6 piston Tokico's that the 98-01 models had.

I just happen to have a set of those 4 piston jobbies on the garage floor ATM ;)

03 Onward 6's had radial calipers, they wont fit on your forks without adaptors.

off your 9? any chance you can measure them? My 6's tokicos are 90mm centre to centre. If they're the same care to part with them? ;)

Nah, off the Z1000 like Watiie said. ;)

I'll duck out and measure them as soon as I finish this cuppa - while big Al is here to assist with a steady hand :kuda:

And I'm sure we can arrange something mate ;)
