Fitting my race glass

Post by StuMiller »

Some of you might know I just took hold of my race glass for my 99 ZX6 trackie and was wondering how you finished off the tail piece.

Photo attached of the dumb fender as it stands now.

Feedback welcome.

Cheers

On my 9 I got another fender (so I could revert back if required later) and cut everything off that protruded down so it was more or less level with the bottom of the ducktail.

I think your suppose to remove the plastic guard.?
My old zx9r race fairing tail had no plastic guard or undertray.. You looked up to the underside of the race tail.

Anyway, I have hole at the back of my 10 race tail and have an alum plate filling it and Wattie has a bit of white perspex or something in his.. although these were to fix the rear of the tail to.

mine is cut off just below the storage area in the tail, so it sticks out below the ducktail.

it's all one piece up to the battery under the riders seat, the storage compartment holds a bottle for the coolant overflow as well as the fuel pump relay and a few other bits & pieces so I've not thought about cutting it further.
