Dear Mr Maxwell,
Keep up the big hits and bigger mouth. Love your work.

See here, young man,
From Walgett to the sea,
From Conroy's Gap to Castlereagh,
There's none can ride like me.

He was pretty cranky, but there is no excuse for the push-me-shove-you stuff. That sort of shit should be left on the footy field....

 What a lot of girls!! He didnt smack the guy in the mouth, he gave him a push for F@#king his chance at the world stage. Tell me what true aussie wouldnt have reacted that way? And then getting black flagged for it WHAT A JOKE!
I know Im the biggest chicken when it comes to fighting, but come on guys. This was his time to shine, he quallfied better than any other aussie including, the guy that has been riding the MZ all year. Im sure I would have been a bit pissed off too.
I hope he gets a full time ride in Moto 2, that way we will have another aussie to cheer for...

Go Wayne. He had a chance to really put in a great show in the race but was taken out. I for one support his actions. It's about time we got back to the good old days with out all the Politiacally correct behaviour.

You did Australia proud mate :kuda:

Regardless of the action it is good to see that level of passion in the sport. I think you can forget how much people have to give up to get there chance/break and to get taken out on the firts lap would be heart breaking.

I would have felt the same as Maxwell, although I probly wouldn't get agro with anyone, I'd be more concerned about my bike.. :-).
It was good to see a bit of passion.. :-)
However, pushing someone over after a motorcycle accident isn't a smart thing to do, what if he'd had an injury.?

anyway, from waynemaxwell.com.au

Wayne Maxwell disqualified after post crash incident.
Written by Tom Reynolds
Wayne Maxwell has been disqualified from the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix Moto2 race after a physical altercation with a fellow competitor this afternoon at Phillip Island.

After a poor start the first time Moto2 rider was sweeping into turn six when he collided with Marc VDS Racing Team rider Hector Faubel. Maxwell was unable to control his emotions after the crash and a physical altercation ensued.

Says Maxwell of the incident: “I offer no excuse for my behaviour and unreservedly apologise. This weekend had been a wonderful opportunity for me to show what I am capable of on a bike and to end on such a sour note is very disappointing.”

“I had tried to take the approach that this was ‘just another race weekend’ but my actions after the crash show that I was not in complete control of my emotions. I’m sorry for Hector, I’m sorry for my team and the people I let down. “

The Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix had been shaping up well for the 27 year old Victorian, with the Matteoni team working hard to improve the bike to suit the track and Wayne’s riding style.

From Friday’s first wet practice until this morning’s warm up session, Maxwell had shown he was capable of running at the front. He topped the table at various times ensuring that his progress from 11th on the grid in today’s race would be keenly followed.

His black flag for unsportsmanlike behaviour was a first for the Wollongong born Australian Superbike regular and his 5,000 Euro fine was accepted without argument.

“I will be writing a letter of apology to Hector Faubel for my actions. Until I was told afterwards, I didn’t even know it was him” said Maxwell.

“I received a fair hearing from the FIM and we accept the fine and without any thought of appeal. I hope to put this incident behind me and now look to complete my Australian Superbike season with a win in Tasmania in November.”

Wayne Maxwell’s Moto2 debut would not have been possible without the support of Honda Australia, Milspec, Construct Concrete Services, ASF Printing, Longlife Roofing and Caprice.
