Just to put it into perspective, sportsbike 1-100 times are in league with supercars - these big beefy Holden/Food V8s will be a good 2 seconds behind you by 100kph. Next time just look over and laugh without racing.

Oh, and they better not try the tailgate technique with me - I have a habbit of braketesting tailgaters. I think the law stands that the vehice behind needs to keep a safe enough distance so as not to hit the car in front in an emergency stop situation.

I wouldn't do it on the bike; On the bike I tend to lane change.

How come a cop has your mobile number ?

all they realy need is the plate number of your bike and cops will be able to access all your personal details. What does sound dodgy is the actual phone call instead of a "in person" visit to your address

Just got off so so lightly. Neg driving ticket coming in the mail. The hsv I dragged wasn't a cop the cop was in an unmarked camry behind us. Could have taken both our vehicles charged with street racing speedin and dangerous driving so yeah i just fessed up straight away and copped it. Don't mind as long as I keep license.

yeah, thinking about it more, I reckon he didn't have us on video just what they saw. a good lawyer could probably have argued his way out of it for me, but really, totally not worth the hassle/expense. got the ticket the other day and it was $344. about what a lawyer would charge for an hour of their time. And the cop was a pretty nice bloke.

Have refrained from conducting hoon activity around newcastle now (mostly) really really hard to stop myself though especially on such a machine as the 6, with its 8k+ power surge. It's seriously addictive to just hit that powerband every time you ride, but even in first your talking 80km/h +, unless you clutch it up, and that presents its own cop problems

I always thought the registration number was not enough to prove you are riding. A simple "I left the bike with the guys at work so they could all have a ride" puts enough doubt into who was riding at the time. After all, you were not pulled over and identified.

Yeah but they make you do a stat dec if you say it wasn't you, and you have to identify who was riding. I don't think the boys at work would be too happy if the cops started hassling them.

I think there is something about 'you are responsible regardless who is riding', unless it's reported stolen.
