Re: zzr1200
As long as you are happy with what you get, that is all that matters......the big 1200 is a comfy and capable tourer, and as long as you don't try to get a knee down in the tight stuff, it will be just fine there as well, maybe a tad slower than a well-ridden ZRX
- but that is par for the course around here ....

Neil - you have never been on a ride with Strika or Phil have you ?..... so when it comes to well-ridden ZRX's giving a ZZR1200 a belting - the only person who remains clueless - is you !Neilp wrote:????? Gos as usual you misunderstood, the term was used in relation to the bike not the rider???Gosling1 wrote:Neil - you have never been on a ride with Strika or Phil have you ?..... so when it comes to well-ridden ZRX's giving a ZZR1200 a belting - the only person who remains clueless - is you !Neilp wrote:????? Re: zzr1200
yeh right, and as usual you have to qualify the crap you dribble out, in order to try and make sense of a senseless post. So what you *meant* was the term *clueless* actually applies to the bike ????
Go and get your suspension sorted !!

Re: zzr1200
Neil, I have ridden with you when you had the zrx, seen you on the zzr and at best you were a liability and farkin slow to say a good thing, you were at least having a go on the zrx you had. Mind u you were up against the 12R trio, still farkin slow.
Then against all advice or reason you bought the slug being the zzr1200, I had one, good bike except it is overweight and performed worse than a 9r.
Sometimes I try and understand you, this time you are so wrong buddy.
Whatever.

Re: zzr1200
I won't change my post, maybe I was a bit harsh, but no. Neil does this as a sniper, seen it too many times to allow him or you Neil to insult peoples intelligence. I am insulted !
I have opened myself up by saying so, I normally would not strip some one down, any one that thinks a zzr is best bike needs their Fukin head read.

Re: zzr1200
I am sure he will have a spit, but I still don't understand his initial ?????? and comment about 'the clueless amongst us'....when all I said was that a well-ridden ZRX will run rings around a ZZR1200 *in the tight stuff* - Neil maybe you want to go back and have another read of that post. It was pretty clear I was *not* talking about straight-line stuff......and anyone who has ridden both a ZRX and a ZZR1200 knows as well as I do, that the granddaddy barge 1200 is not a weapon in the twisties at all.
So how was that comment 'clueless' ?? beats the shit out of me ?
I don't mind a good snipe if it is accurate and makes sense ( eg - like the ones I do !
) - but this one made no sense to me at all.....
How about that elevation drop between the top of Mt Glorious and the coast eh ?? I think a stop half-way down to richen the jetting a bit is in order !!
