chain and spockets
I think im due for a set on the 05 6. Been asking around and best price i can get is $350-$380
Found some replacements on fleabay, but was after some input on converting to a 520
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RK-Chain ... ccessories
From what i can see the front is -1 and rear is stock, i know this will lose some top end and gain acceleration but mainly interested in hearing opinions about longevity and differences in chains, ie 525/530 vs 520 etc...
Also my old bikes had the speed sensor on the front wheel so changing sprockets never phased me in terms of speedo inaccuracies, how will this effect my speedo if i go -1 on the front?
or should i just buy a 15 front and throw the -1 on the tracky? thoughts?

Thats a great deal from the states postage @$ 55 keeps it round the $200 mark so its a pretty good deal.
for longevity I would stick with standard.....but at that price I would say go for it

This is the one I just bought, postage was $55 and and additional rear sprocket was $55, although it hasn't arrived yet so I can't advise on service

i always get mine from here... http://www.motomummy.com/store/product. ... t=0&page=1
If u look after the chain a 520 will last just as long as a 525 or 530 especially on a 600.
-1 on the front is perfect for the rd and most tracks just chuck it on a gearing calculator the top end difference is very minimal and how often do u sue it compared to acceleration?

Re: chain and spockets
Thanks again for the links. Got it last week and installed it. Ended up getting the -1 on the front and so far so good. Has some more pickup than usual but ive noticed my speedo is off...still havent been able to judge how much since no one seems to want to do the speed limit... but im guessing that 65-68 is actually 60....
might start looking for a speedo healer, any recommendations?

Have you tried site sponsor Superbike Supply. I have used them regualrly and find Tim to be easy to deal with.
I just (6 months ago) did the chain & sprockets for the Zed1000 gold RK chain and vortex sprockets for around the $350 mark.
