I must say I have thoroughly enjoued my previous Yoshi systems, but Akrapovic can work some art pieces with their carbon fibre.
I shopped around the local bike shops for quotes on an Akrapovic slip on system and they all were around the $1400 mark. And that was without the link pipe. So a little internet research, a strong Aussie dollar and 1 week mail time I ended up getting the slip on and link pipe mailed to my door for $990 AUD.
I mentioned above that there was a minor setback. The link pipe was missing the retainer clamp that connects it to the 2 collecter pipes. So after pulling everything off I reinstalled the pre muffler (or boom box whatever you want to call it) and then hooked up the Akrapovic slip on.
I was not impressed.
The stock pre muffler does such a good job that the exhaust note and volume was barely different. Even riding spiritly into Penrith this morning to get a retainer clamp I could not hear the exhaust above 80Km/h.
But after 4 stops trying to find a clamp Pirtek had just what I was after minus a lot of customer service.
Anyway it is now all installed and sounds beautiful. Very deep note and loud but not too loud that it bashes your ear drums.
Here are some pics of the setup:
Stock vs Aftermarket

Still has the exhaust servo valve.

Link pipe (sorry for bad photo, lighting was not very good).
