ZX14 owner moving to Melbourne from UK
Hi there!
Just trying to make some contacts before the big move later this year. I am trying to decide if the ZX14 is worth bringing or should I sell and buy again in Aus.
Opinion is mixed but I'm currently leaning to selling and buying locally when I arrive. Anyway I would be interested to know what the biking is like around Victoria, I've visited but never done any riding. ZX has only 1500 ks on the clock so as new. Black of course!
I follow bike racing and enjoy good social rides out and the odd weekend away.
One other question...what is the trackday scene like? Easy enough to buy a trackbike and pay to play?
Any recoemmendations for dealers in Melbourne would be welcome.
Cheers
Nigel
PS. Probably change my ID to ZXPOM! don't want to seem out of place afterall!!

Easy . If you are in Melbourne , Phillip Island is about 1.5 hrs away and has a good track day calendar . Broadford is a smaller track about an hour out of Melbourne again with plenty of track days .
Check out this local classifieds for track toys

As for bringing your 14 dunno what would be better . Touring wise if you remember that Victoria is about the same size as England you have room to move about
but the local speed limit of around 100kph/60mph is pretty heavily enforced .
Plenty of advice and opinions available here . Good Luck with the move .

If money is no object then it would certainly be possible... main problem would be getting it complianced for rego here.. also most likely some customs fingers in the pie.. and prolly some more taxes on the top.. don'tca love govt's
