First Night On The Job!

Post by Mikey84 »

OMFG! WHAT A NIGHT! :kuda:

I have been offered 2 weeks night shit work at yaap, building fuel tanks for holden, I started last night 11pm-7am

bunch of bloody trippers i work with! :D
there is 2 bosses and 3 workers including my self, about 2hours into my shift, im working away on the tanks and then behind me i hear crashing, banging and what sounded like school girls laughing? and here's one of the bosses and a worker hurling cardboard boxes at each other
then later on at about 2:30am i look over my shoulder and see the same boss fucking around doing kung fu moves in the middle of the workshop and the same worker runs out of no-where and kicks him fair in the nuts! he drops to the ground and get up laughing his ass off and begins to chase the worker around the shed! meanwhile the other boss ran around after me all night offering to make me coffees!
it was a bloody pisser! didnt even feel like work, just fun and games, :P
other than my fucking old crusty workboots, my feet are killing me!
looking forward to going back sunday night, be interesting to see what mayhem they come up with next :kuda:

Glad you found some work mate - hope it goes longer than the 2 weeks for you :)
I don't like the term insane - I prefer mentally hilarious!

 you know that being kicked in the nuts will be your initiation & by the sounds of it it does not stop there :P
fun & games aside, is this really good from an OH&S perspective, sounds like a disaster waiting to happen

They are just making you feel comfortable mate, making you relax so that you don't
panic when they pull out the strap on

Just remember Mikey, leave the screwdrivers and drills alone and only one hole per fuel tank :)

So is this why a commodore costs 60 odd K these days? :P

From Conroy's Gap to Castlereagh,
There's none can ride like me.

yeah im still undecided on the good or the bad part

be interesting making a kwaka tank in the same process, using the plastic, good for weight managment but if you have an off, i'd hate to have one, bitumen would be like sandpaper to butter on it :?
