Well i just bought a new bike trailer and now have to have a towbar fitted to my xr8,so which is better tounge type or haymen reese ???.

Haymen Reese are good because you can "in theory" remove them when not in use easier. saves the shins when walking around the back of your car. 8)

Tongue type wont be able to carry as much weight. (square tube is stronger than flat bar)

Haymen Reese is definately the way to go, and they generaly have a much higher tow capacity than standard tow packages.
