USofA and route 66
Next year "The Missus" and I are going state side.
She ( Beloved ) is being sent to Colorado for a 2 week training course courtesy of her employer and so we are looking to make it an extended trip with possibly 3 weeks thereafter gawking at the septics.
We are considering doing the full length of route 66 from E to W with a stop over in Las Vegas to finaly get married. ----> Have been engaged for 5 years. Dang! we been goin' steady an all for near on 10 years. Time to finally git er done.
Just asking the question has anyone else done route 66? Was it DIY or through a travel company? Tips or advice greatly appreciated.
Aside from Elvis - What theme would Y'all be impressed with for a Vegas Weddin'?

Elvis has already been done as you know S&W so see what the options are, maybe a Robin Hood thing?
Any jobs going where your missus works??

A good mate will bail you out of jail, a true mate will be sitting in the cell next to you saying "Damn, we fucked up!!!"

if you're gonna go all weird with a brother sister combo, why not take the extra step of Han Solo & Chewbacca?seiko1 wrote:Luke and Leia

Re: USofA and route 66
Wobbles you faggot (bundle of sticks) a bloke named Peter Egan wrote an article for Cycleworld years ago doing Route 66 . Was a great read . From what I remember it was difficult to achieve as the original road has been abandoned in areas and he had to retrace his tracks and hop on an interstate then try and find the old road again . Will try to find the article .
As for the wedding theme , get the Stones along to help you get your kicks
