If your in NSW and your picked up for noise by the Police, the officer doesn't need to check the noise level, he can make a judgment call and book you for a test with the EPA. Whilst there the tester will have a look at your air filter to see if it has been tampered with, if the filter is non standard you might be in for another test. Cruiser riders have first hand experience with this.
