team crashed - the most pathetic of them all

Post by Six Addict »

well this morning, it happened...

iron cove bridge, 10-15km/h needed to do about an 80% stop, and the shitty feeling in my front lever came back to bite me... went for the brake and it just locked up and tucked under... no warning... its a weird feeling, could be just air in the line or a problem with the caliper or master cylinder... when i squeeze the lever it reaches a firm point, and will then all of a sudden pull back further as if an air bubble is being released or maybe the piston in the caliper moves again... i dunno, will need to get this checked out...

went down right hand side, more scratches in fairing, and actually broke the fairing away from the main fairing mount... pics to come... on a side note i think im keeping the aftermarket indicator industry afloat...

oh and this has served as a timely reminder, please make sure your bike's brakes are in perfect working order... im now going to try and get my front brake fixed, should have done it earlier

so anyway im thinking now that with my fairings busted in many places, and my tank with a dent in it, sometime next year i will get off my arse and od it up properly as factory or get it sprayed another colour and go naked...

Bugger :( Sorry to hear that mate.
Thats really sucks, but considering you had dodgy brakes - the end result could've been much worse. Bikes are fixable, you're much more important.

And you know where we are if you need a hand. Not my hand, I'm offering up my pit biatches services

Bugger mate... :(

Had a similar problem with a go-kart once. Turned out to be a wear in the MC that left a tiny step and the piston moved freely up to there then needed a boost to go further resulting in the same problem that you have.
