ZX9 Regulator/rectifier

Post by laidback »

Does anyone know if the regulator/rectifier has to be earthed?

I have mounted it inside the subframe on the tracky bit it is fixed to the plastic tray now and just wondered if it should be earthed as it was previously mounted on the subframe.

Yes. But the earth should be part of the wiring harness to the reg/rec, not earthed via the body of the reg/rec. They did that in the old days - when you were a young takka !
