If you want to live in a city, I reckon the city of Melbourne, with the harbour of Sydney, in the location of Brisbane would be the best spot to live! (of course, the PI and EC race tracks would be just down the road in this mythical city too)

Honestly, it depends on what your priorities are - there's no objectively "best" place to live.

My best place would be to own a couple of hundred acres anywhere within an hour of Port Macquarie or Brisbane, myself. Or maybe have a nice spread near Lismore. But then, anywhere between Nowra and Eden would be gorgeous too, if a little cooler.

 Good one Firey.

How about Wollombi? There's odd, pasty white, random strangers running past in mankini's doing odd hand signals - there's your entertainment box ticked!

Right where I am ... Im 5 minutes to work, walk to the station (if I ever have to catch a train  ) .. I got top neighbours (one being a motorcycle mechanic :kuda: ), friends n family are close by . .and best of all . . the OLD ROAD is 10 minutes up the road . .

What can be better than that!!!! 8) :D :D

And on the seventh day Richo ended his work which he had made. Decided resting was for soft cox, straddled the REX and headed up the old road.
And it was good

Would have to be within a reasonable commute of a major city for entertainment - gigs, big nights out etc. A couple of acres for dirt squirters would be nice, and not to far from twisty roads and race tracks. So far Broadford is looking good (has a track, hour to Winton, 2 hours to PI, 40 mins to Melb), but it does get cold up there. Dirt squirters in the snow is fun...

If I could have a hybrid city I'd have Sydneys Waterways, with Melbourne/Victoria's twisty roads, Perth's climate and either Perth or Adelaides Traffic, plus Phillip Island and Eastern creek within an hour's drive.

Usually this would end up in a good natured slanging match, but given that you're in South Africa I think we're all just considering how good we've got it. :)

Well I'm already there...

Half way between PI and EC, 2 1/4 hours from WP & Winton and 1/2 hour from best of the high country... :D

Oh and very few of those people that like to have a chat with you on the side of the road...

This is our plan in a few years, buy a 100 acres or more up near Toowoomba, just so I can have a motocross track for a bit of fun 8)
