Nakka's boots...

Post by mattyv74 »

Hey Guys, look what i snaffled.
A mate of mine up here was a mechanic in Europe with wsbk and moto GP kwaka for years, but is back here with moto X after the demise of Hyati. These are the real deal. Two meetings old towards the end of Shinya Nakano's time in GP. Way cool, but not for sale. What do you reakon they're worth though?

Without being able to prove that they used to belong to him, the only person they are worth anything to, is you.

Geez Jase, no need to be such a downer. Actually there is proof. Like the individual serial numbers stamped into each boot, dozens of photos of Jason and Nakka's working. Oh, and the little fact that there are several sets of Nakka's leathers, helmets, gloves etc etc all with correct period sponsorship patches and so forth hanging in the same cupboard that these came from. Oh, and there is gear from Pitt, Yanagawa, De Puniet too. Just to name a few.

But at the end of the day, they were a gift to me, and are not for sale. I just thought I'd share a little memorabilia with you guys. 8)

Nice pick up.

At the Reece Bancell charity auction the last 2 years they had a few pairs of Moto GP riders boots and they all went for around the $300 mark a pair from memory.
