This wouldn't be the first time a magazine has published an Internet rumour. Brad was saying a neighbour of his, working at Windsor cop shop, checked and found no evidence of such an incident ever occuring - it may well be true, but I'm sceptical at this stage. Obviously, if it's true it's a really shitty way to go - RIP mate.

nah it's all crap...the truth is that they found the bike completely intact, without any damage whats so ever, however a large oil leak was destroying local vegetation in that particular spot. Turns out triumphs always leak oil!
I live with fear everyday but on weekends she lets me ride.

Well sad to say this has been confirmed...........

Police have closed the case as a suicide

he was listed as a missing person since Oct 2007.

Apparently the guys personal circumstances, along with the speed, angle and the distance from the road, led Police to the only possible explanation of suicide. They believe he just cranked on the throttle and went straight over the edge

Fatal crash, The Gap: Police are investigating a fatal crash on Mt Nebo Road at the Gap, approximately 150m east from the Bell Bird Grove turnoff. Police were alerted to the crash when a passing motorist noticed damage to a tree. He investigated further and located the motorcycle down an embankment before calling for urgent assistance from emergency service. Police attended and located the 34-year-old rider deceased. Initial investigations suggest the motorcycle was heading up the mountain when, for unknown reasons, has left the roadway before colliding with a tree and falling down the embankment. It is believed the crash may have occurred sometime in the last 48 hours. Police are appealing to motorists who use Mt Nebo Road to please contact them if they have any information that may assist in the investigation. The Forensic Crash Unit will be investigating.

This was taken from qld police media release april 23 2010 and this is a popular road
