Another team crash alumni

Post by Aussie Ninja »

:( Going to work yesterday morning I forgot about what happens when you combine cold tyres and that really smooth bitument with no gravel in it. I was turning right at a T. My rear hit the smooth stuff, the tail stepped right out and I supermanned thru the windshield and went tumbling down the road with my scoot following close behind. Result, bruised left wrist and hip and a decent 'carpet burn' on my right knee. My poor baby has a stuffed left lower middle and upper fairing as well as the afore mentioned nose and windshield. Also dead is the crash bung, the GBmoto rearset on the left side, the clutch lever and bar weight, and the riders seat. The tail survived as did the tank and frame. Guesstimations of repair cost at this time are $7500, which makes it touch and go for write-off. :(
Real bravery is being afraid but doing it anyway.

As they say, any crash you walk away from is not a bad one (so to speak), sorry to hear of the off but it could have been far worse.

 bad luck mate ! I got your message way too late, but Team Crash Rescue is out of commission at the moment, so I hope you managed to get your scoot home OK.
