Unregistered Vehicle Permit - Victorian????

Can anyone tell me how hard it is and whats required to get a UVP in the great state of victoria?

Im looking to get a vehicle back to the ACT and its not rego'd nor does it have a roadworthy.....

I had a look on VIC roads last night.

But do you need a roadworthy to take a vehicle long distance? You can drive interstate with a UVP. So i just need to know if i need to get a roadworthy inspection prior to getting the permit.

You will need RWC for long distance.
Normal UVP is from home to mechanic and home to Rego Branch.
It does say directly to home however

Well, A car trailer would be tooooooo big, i dont have my car with a tow ball in melb this time and have no gear with me to drive the potential purchase home.

When I purchased my Kombi, I got an unregistered permit to drive it home - about 120km all up. Was no problem and didn;t require a road worthy. Can't answer for interstate though.

Shame you missed out, it looked quite tidy.
