Re: Wakefield
Hmmm that put's me at the sharp end of Med-Quick .... I'm happy with that on a 16 year old bike

Re: Wakefield
Thanks for that it will give me an indication on the Friday, on how I'm going learning the track, is there a preference on tyre compounds to use, eg soft front medium rear?,Gosling1 wrote:Quick punters get around in the range 1'00" to about 1'08 or so.zxrno1 wrote:....What would an average lap time be, not an A grade time.....
Med-quick punters around 1'09" up to about 1'14" ??
Anything between 1'15" and 1'20" is still quick - but more like the times that ride-day punters get - average ones anyway....
If you can get under 1'10", you are going well.

Re: Wakefield
I dont know i cant really tell ya as we use control tyres. I would suggest soft to medium with all the bumps and ruts around

Re: Wakefield
Most suggest a hard rear as the track tends to cause strange tyre wear on the softer compounds.

Re: Wakefield
Great to meet you guys, Jason and I had a great weekend, learning the track on Friday was interesting, trying different suspension settings, tyre pressures, etc
great fun track once you start to get your head around turn 2 to turn 7, I had some great dices over the weekend, with a CBR and an R1, and lucky to miss a very red misted young guy on a GSXR, he came out ok but his bike was not the best. Looking forward to round 2 with only a 2hr drive.
