Not a bad story but would have been better without the lycra bashing.

haha i feel for you guys, here in adelaide every motorcycle park is free and very few of them have a time limit either. So i just ride to work in the city park for free all day and as a bonus save money on petrol! Only problem parking in the city is all the scooters parking within 2cm of your bike, hello i need to straighten my bike to leave not on a damn centre stand!!!

Re: A good motorcycle story..
I thought it was a pretty good story, and his baiting of the lycra warriors was hilarious
What really shits me about the treadlie brigade is that they *demand* the right to use the roads, without any accountability for their actions - who saw that piece on the boc last week where the treadlie guys filmed all the 'action' as they rode along ?? The number of times I have seen these clowns run red lights, fail to give way, almost run over pedestrians - then have the hide to abuse *them* for being in the wrong place !!!
Its crap. They won't use the cycleways - a much safer place for them to be - because they have to 'share' the cycleways with other users !!! the stench of hypocrisy is overwhelming.....

Re: A good motorcycle story..
How and more importantly WHY do the gubbmint give them their own frigging lanes ??? They contribute sweet FA !
I seriously would have no problem with cycle only lanes, IF the b'stards paid for them, they should even pay the $50 safety levy imposed on us motorcyclists

I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.

Yep, much the same in Victoria and if I so desire I can ride to work, park directly out the front on the footpath, or if the weather is dodgy or you plan to leave it overnight, under the RACV Club across the road.vanrootn wrote:haha i feel for you guys, here in adelaide every motorcycle park is free and very few of them have a time limit either. Not too shabby....except I don't ride to work very often (but shitloads do).

Re: A good motorcycle story..
letter to RTA
Subject:Licensing or Registration
i want to register my push bike for road use. what are the fees and what measures do i have to take to pay some form of registrationthat entitles me to road use in the eyes of car drivers.
reply:
Dear Customer, For a vehicle to be registered in NSW it must meet the Australian Design Rules and have a compliance plate fitted. A push bike is a non-complying vehicle and therefore cannot be registered in NSW.
Regards,
Sarah
so its a whole lot of complaining about nothing isnt it?
