If you have no fear, you're not going fast enough.
Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level, then beat you with experience.

re: Pulling up next to another biker ..?
A young bloke (well, ok, younger than me) pulled up next to me a few months ago on an R1. T-shirt, shorts and work boots. I had my visor up, and he looks over and says, "Bit hot for full leathers, isn't it, mate?"
Oops.
I was wearing a Dririder jacket and mesh pants.
I'll talk if I'm spoken to, but mostly I'll just acknowledge other motorcyclists with a nod or wave.

A nod or g'day will do.

Arh man, Windsor Rd on the way back from work about 5 is the best.
I'm one of these that will change into more bike sensible gear after work rather than hopping straight on.........but you see some things.
Shorts and singlets seem the go with young guys on sportsbikes, as you say with work boots lol.
It's the cruiser riders I like, I literally hunt for them at the lights, theres so many on Windsor Rd you always meet one.
Then pull up in a position by them and say hello or give a nod......no reply means ignorant tw*t.
They love it mate, when you pull off steady and you can tell there flogging it and then you just wind that throttle on ,and see ya later.NOT.
All good fun on the way home

I'm often up for a chat, particularly if you are going to be stuck a while.
I once knew the life-story of a spud rider that I used to talk to in traffic on the Pacific Hwy of a morning

re: Pulling up next to another biker ..?
Always a "Gday mate" & something positive about their ride unless they look like they'd rip my head off. Usually its "Nice Scoot Champ" or "mate she's a classic had her long ?" doesnt matter what sorta bike it is they usually warm to comments like that n then start yarning. I tagged a guy on a green 01 ZX6R today at the second set of lights in a row. Then followed him into Whales n had a yarn
. If your reading this Matt jump in mate.
Cheers Brett
