Phillip Island Ride Day yesterday

Post by StuMiller »

Had my 1999 ZX6 at the Island yesterday and had a blast. I had a mate do a rough time - 2:12 was about the best I got. First outing so hopefully next time, this should improve.

However, there are several people who are challenged when it comes to how close they should be when passing other riders.

I had some fuckwit, at the bottom of the straight, when I was on the positive side of 220kph, pass me within one foot. So much so, I felt the air pressure around me change when he went past.

Two metres means two metres, not fuckin two inches......wanker!

Also, session four (now renamed dickhead session) has a big spill with one rider taken off to the medical centre ...hope he's ok.

Glad you had a great day, Im jealous. Cant wait to ride PI again!
Unfortunately some wankers don't realise its a 'ride day' and not a 'race day'. There is no need to pass you down the straight that close, its a wide track
Put up some pics when you get the chance!

Glad you had a good time. PI is exilerating.

Just a quick note, in all three shots it appears you are looking at your speedo; ignore your speed and concentrate on where you are going - it will make you quicker.

Mate, nice work!! Good pics too. Hopefully next time your down there, the cameraman won't stand on the straight to snap you.

Were there some corner markers left behind from the previous two days racing?????

Good to hear you had a great day, mostly.
Nice pics too - geez I love PI!

I hate being buzzed too closely - it really throws me off. I'm sure it wouldn't phase me at all if I'd raced or something, but when a stranger does that, it always makes me wonder what else they'll do and I'm a little more wary of them. Plus, it makes me jump like a big girl :D

Megan fugly gale is going out with Andi from Hamish and Andi, unless you are secretly Andi green10

Anyways good shots mate, i cant wait to hit that track, everyone raves on about it so i figure its gotta be good.
Played it enough on SBK, but its just not the same :(

Oh and id be taping up your speedo and getting race chrono. It would be safer to see how fast you went when you are off the bike standing in the garage, rather than the end of the straight while some maniac is trying to pass you ;)
