Almost back on a Kawasaki

Post by trah »

Hi Guys,

Watched this forum for sometime now, but now that I have finally got myself another Kawasaki, thought it was time to join.

Its a work in progress, this is where I am with it. 2004 Z750, I have just fitted 05 ZX10 Forks & calipers, 06/07 lower triple with Z750 headstem & Z1000 upper triples. Some minor mods/milling was required to make this work, but was pretty straight forward once I got started. All I need now is a front fairing and then I can start with the paint work.

Image

I am keen on going with a 03-06 Z1000 top fairing as it does use the same headlight as the 750, but this part is impossible to find used. Does anyone out there have one forsale? Or possibly once I can borrow for a couple of days so I can mould and produce a fibreglass copy?

Anyway, will post pics as I make more progress on this.

Thanks Guys, can't wait till it is done. I will take it for a test ride over the weekend.

My hip pocket does not like the New Kawasaki price at all. So I'm still looking for a Z1000 top fairing.. Anyone willing to lend me one? I will pay with cash, beer or free fibreglass copy.

Engine covers are now painted. I've also got an eye out for a 636 rear shock and most likely a bikini fairing.

Opinions on what colour I should paint this?

White looks sexy!

Try Ebay US/EU for fairing parts!

even ebay usa has been no luck for Z1000 front fairngs, also tried UK, Italy & Germany. No one seems to be crashing these..

Found one guy who has a Z750 top fairing, fibreglass, no mounts £40 + shipping of £50. This is my last resort.

Hi and welcome :kuda:

For the front cowling, you could try some of the aftermarket places: airtech, beasley composites, attack, aussie streetfighters etc
