We may have seen you when we were out and about Saturday too. We went for a run up to Mt Baw Baw and back. We went via Yarra Junction and I passed two ZXR250's on the way back from memory. I was on a silver/Blk ZRX1200 S, my mate was on a blk naked FZ1.craig wrote:amen..........................KN ................reduced limit up there was obviously on its way when they patched up "some !!" of the dodgy bits and put in a load of nice steel SAFETY rails over the last few months on the warburton side.......reduced limit less people trying to crash thru their nice shiny barriers .......![]()

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

Re: Reefton- New 80kph limit.
I came back down via Reefton after going up and around via Marysville. I was the one on the purple ZZR250..
There were not a lot of other bikes around between Marysville and Warburton but it was fairly late by the time I was there (hit warburton at about 19.00)
It was the longest ride I've done (only been riding for a little over a month) and it was bloody awesome. Definitely going to back there again soon but I'm still slow enough through all the corners that 80km limit isn't an issue just yet
Some poor bastard had lost it on a corner so there was an Ambulance and a fuzz car up near Cambarville and another one hiding at the t-section to Reefton. Essentiall more fuzz/ambo's than other vehicles

HMMMMM and I wonder why they have droped the speed limit. I can remember riding the spurs over 20 yrs ago with less traffic and accidents, and alot of fun, I went through the reefton with a club 2 yrs ago first ride with them and the last, if it wasn't for riders not being able to hold a line, and trying to travel at speeds they obviously could not, it was the total morons in WRX's, clubsports, and ricers that think that's it's ok for them to have their drivers side wheels on the white line. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying I'm an angel and don't speed or make mistakes, but there are better places to go fast.

Re: Reefton- New 80kph limit.
there's one corner on the way down to Marysville from warburton side amuses me every time i go thru ....
.....there is usually some straight line bike skid marks running toward and either sign of a sign (left hander) some times bits of plastic.....i occassionally think should i slow go back and peer down the hill......see if any poor bastard has gone in to hot and flown ........only to be laying several metres down and in a position not to be seen........to date have only ever slowed down and cast a look back down the hill as you push into the following right....can't see shit for trees.....i wonder if there's anybody down there
